Getting the most from your print

Because the Polaroids are vintage cameras they actually take slight longer to develop using the modern film packs.

When your photos first eject from your camera, it’s important to keep them away from the light so they can develop peacefully in the dark. That’s why all our vintage Polaroid cameras come fitted with a film shield, also known as frog tongue, to protect them for those vital first few seconds. If you’ve got an old camera that you found in the garage, don’t worry – you can buy your own film shield, and fit it in less than 5 minutes.

There is two ways to do this you can either buy a new Film shield which will set you back £10.99 or do the box trick which costs nothing.

The best way to develop your print is to either hold the empty box in front of the camera where the print comes out or sellotape the box into place.
